Stages show the player’s broader development. Skill milestones show specific skill progression. Read more below…

Skill Milestones

Milestones show progress in a specific skill. Players usually move through milestones with age, practice, and better game understanding.

Overall Development Stage

Stages describe the player’s broader development level. They are based on the average of all skill milestones in the report.

Skills may be at different milestones. The overall stage shows the player’s combined development over time.

UpLVL Assessment
3 new notes, 2 earlier notes, and 8 skills interpreted for Troy's development
UpLVL
Troy is progressing through the Transition Stage, with Skating and Defense emerging as the most reliable parts of the profile. Across this report window, Skating made the clearest movement while Skating continued to set the standard. In recent live shifts, Troy showed more control as the pace increased, stayed connected through tighter decisions, and carried the strongest habits into demanding moments. This shows a developing profile becoming more reliable as the demands increase. The primary priority is Puck Handling. Troy now needs to build control and timing before adding more speed and pressure. In the Speed Deke Circuit, Troy should build advanced puck handling at game speed by executing a series of deking moves through a structured circuit, with one standard throughout: sell the move with your shoulders before your hands. Successful transfer will look like Troy using puck handling at full pace without losing control, timing, or awareness of the next option.

Troy looked more connected shift to shift. Skating and Defense were the clearest separators in this session and created more control in the game. The next push is Puck Handling and Passing so that level holds when the pace lifts, the decisions get tighter, and the game becomes less forgiving.
Coach BlakeMar 2
Puck Handling and Passing are the clearest next step. The goal is to keep the same quality when space closes quickly.

How It Works

Build advanced puck handling at game speed by executing a series of deking moves through a structured circuit.

What You Need
hockey stickpuckconesice
Mindset Rep
Calm Hands, Bold Mind

When you trust your touch, your confidence shows — make each move with conviction, not caution.

Your Focus

Deking requires precise coordination between skating edge changes and puck movement — the blade must shift the puck in sync with the body move to sell the fake.

1
Set Up

Set up a circuit: (a) forehand-to-backhand deke through two cones, (b) tight inside turn with puck on backhand, (c) speed move straight-line to a defender dummy.

2
Run The Rep
A.
Complete all three elements back to back.
B.
Finish with a shot on net after the speed move.
3
Check It

Sell the move with your shoulders before your hands

Goal

Success is executing each deke move in the circuit cleanly enough that a real defender would be faked out, no telegraphing, no hesitation.

Helpful Cues
Sell the move with your shoulders before your handsThe puck follows the body, commit the body firstThrough the deke, your eyes must go to the net, not the puck
UPLVL IT

Add a live defender at the final station who reacts to the speed move in real time.
